About: DONNA DURBIN, Artist

Donna Durbin, fiber artist, educator, Accent Reduction coach, speaker and world traveler.Donna has an MFA in Fiber from Texas Woman’s University. Weaving and textiles from around the world are her passion. As a professional, internationally exhibiting artist, her mixed media tapestries were commissioned for DoubleTree Hilton, Texas State University, Exxon-Mobile and many private collectors.Ms. Durbin incorporates her travel photographs into collages. From 2008-2010 she lived in Chiang Mai, Thailand and traved solo across Southeast Asia, Indonesia and India. Exploring her love of "cloth," documenting traditional textiles, weaving and dyeing techniques, the culture, the people and learning the language.Her contemporary fiber art and stitched paper collages are in the collections of:
